Housing, handle and filter are fine. The patented mounting system is not

After researching several options to install a circular polarizing filter on the iPhone 11 Pro, I decided to take a risk and go with this system. Pros: - Well-built, solid body. It offers better grip than other cases I've tried without snagging on anything. The bottom next to the ports is open so you can use a variety of Lightning adapters/cables. The adjustable handle is practical. I like that it is compact and fits well. It's almost pocketable. I'll still use a dedicated phone mount if I'm using a tripod or whatever, but 1/4-20 is good for lights and mics. - Filter quality. Once you have it installed (see below) the filters are well made and have good housings. The reason for this was that I could use all three cameras with the filter. I also like that I don't have to use another case adapter. Cons: - Proprietary filter attachment system. As mentioned here and in the video reviews. Polar Pro has opted for a four-post filter mounting system. Although it has a thin profile to avoid vignetting, the filters are difficult to attach to the body. I've had a couple of instances where I thought it was installed, but in reality I was just turning the adjustment ring on the CPL and ND filters. I'm still getting used to it. I am especially careful with an ND filter as I twist the ring all the way and accidentally pull the holder. The patented mount also means you're limited to the four currently available filters (CPL, VND 3-5, ND8, ND64) direct from PolarPro. Honestly this should cover 80% of usage but be aware you are system bound. As a side note, after browsing the site you may need to buy a brand new kit (including filters) if you switch devices or your phone has a significantly redesigned camera. At the same time, the filters for iPhone and Samsung are different. - Tripod mount for mounting on a tripod. Once you add a mic or light, the grip becomes a bit heavy to attach to your body. Maybe it's me because of the heavy duty bindings from BeastGrip. So if you're going to keep your iPhone for a while and are careful about installing filters, this system should suit you. The closest equivalent was pairing a Moment housing with a Moondog Labs filter adapter and then your stock filters. It was a difficult approach, which is why I'm trying PolarPro now.
