I got this for a Victorian Gothic themed masquerade ball. First of all let me just say it’s absolutely stunning. It’s looks better than the photo and I wish so badly it would’ve worked the way I had expected to. If you are into waist trainer/corset training or starting out, do not purchase this. Luckily I was wearing this as costume piece and not as a functioning waist trainer. Whatever the boning is, it’s not steel. It’s feels like flimsy plastic and it’s a joke to get it to cinch anything. If I didn’t already have a naturally smaller waist, I would’ve looked like a box! Also I ordered the wrong size, I was following the reviews and the sizing chart but it was still too big. I am 5’6 and 165 pounds. On the curvier side for sure. The straps were too long as well, but that might’ve just been because I ordered the wrong size as well. Ultimately I will be returning this. I bought this for my costume but also to keep and use regularly, as the reviews on this corset have been so great. But it didn’t turn out that way, it worked well enough for my costume but I see no other reason to keep something that doesn’t fit and and doesn’t work. No to say that it doesn’t work for other people, but it simply did not work for me.
