Review on Pack of 6 Arm & Hammer Essentials Fresh Natural Deodorants, Size 2.5z, with Scent - A&H Ess Fr by Whitney Buckley

A few years ago I got a terrible rash/itch on my shoulders and back and my dermatologist advised me to switch my deodorant and use only aluminum free formulas . So I tried everything I could find - Dr. Hauschka, Tom's of Maine, Wella, Kiss My Face, Jason, etc. - and none of them coped with deodorization. I found a few that were better than others but needed constant reapplying and were completely worn out by the end of the day. I was so shy that I started wearing sleeves and light sweatshirts all the time for fear that the deodorant would wear off when I was around other people. So I didn't expect much from Arm & Hammer. , or - I assumed that if there was no aluminum in the product, it would really be useless. I was SO wrong. This stuff WORKS - not only does it deodorize (and DO NOT need to be reapplied) but it keeps me dry for some reason. The real test came when I went out into the hot/humid Florida backyard one morning. before showering - despite the heavy sweating there, the deodorant *still* worked, use in the morning. That totally surprised me. My only caveat is that it MIGHT be a bit irritating if applied too thickly or not washed off completely in the shower. I had slight irritation on my shoulder after the second or third day, but I found that when I took it off my skin and used it every day, there was no clogging in my pores, so there was no itching. looking for an aluminum-free deodorant that works and doesn't irritate the skin, here it is. Oh yeah, and "fresh scent"? Pretty heavy scent. I know they sell an unscented version of this, but since it's not an antiperspirant I couldn't see how it would work as a deodorant if it wasn't scented. Now I understand that it *really* has some antiperspirant properties, so I'll order unscented next time.
