Review on Thinlerain T-101-CNC Portable Monitor with 1920X1200P Resolution and Built-In Speakers by Patrick Palomar

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great second monitor with a catch for some use cases

I am very impressed with this screen. Picture quality and brightness are good, and the price is great. The slim body is very convenient as I use it in a teleprompter configuration with the GlideGear. The one I had before was thick and difficult to get in the right position. This sits in a bracket with easy access to power and HDMI. It's also bright enough to still look good in ambient light thanks to a split mirror. One caveat and the reason I only gave it 4 stars: Unlike some others, it cannot flip/flip an image horizontally. Another can, but he cannot. This is important if you are using it in a teleprompter on a Windows computer. For some reason Windows does not YET provide driver support for horizontal mirroring. macOS does. Linux does. But Windows isn't. So without HW support you get an inverted image. Not the end of the world because the teleprompter software can do it with one letter and I don't care if people's faces are upside down in Zoom. But it's worth considering.

  • A few little things
