When I first put them on and listened, I was under the impression that I had purchased high-quality headphones. In fact, I can't explain why they are such a best-seller presently. Perhaps I'm making things up in my own mind. Straight to the point: the microphone is subpar, and it would be a huge improvement if it could be easily detached. Its output typically resembles the sound coming from a barrel, and in the midst of the dissonance, the sound for the conversants is entirely mangled. It stands to reason that people will be able to hear you fart, press a key on the keyboard, etc., given that the amount of background noise suppression is set to zero. At this point we come to the headphones' audio quality: numerous reviews mention hearing a crack or something similar when listening to specific songs or game sounds. And it has nothing to do with weddings. If you turn on something with the volume set to roughly 20%, you can hear it, but it won't be very audible. The music sounds great, and the games appear to have partial 7.1 support, even though they do not. This is a bit unpleasant. The worst part, and the reason I returned them to the store, was the headband, which consisted of two plastic arms of an awkward shape wrapped with fabric and marketed as a headphone accessory. So, shortly after putting on, the front bow of this headband was noticeably pressing on my head, and despite my best efforts to adjust the headphones' placement on my head, this bow persisted in exerting pressure in spite of my efforts. The speaker was comfortable in my left ear, but it hurt my right one because it wasn't even close. Why? My head and ears are perfectly symmetrical, so I have no idea. Apparently I was just unlucky, as all the reviewers claim that these headphones are the ideal fit and do not cause any discomfort. It's possible I could put up with it all if it weren't for that stupid headband.
