Review on MySplint Moldable Thermoplastic Strains Sprains by Nick Beck

Interesting Splint Technology

This is a splint that can be used in the microwave and adapts to your wrist. To use, place it on the included cardboard tray for 15 seconds for a 600-700W microwave, less for a typical 1100-1200W microwave. You want to heat it up so it's warm, not hot. Allow to cool for a few minutes, then apply. You massage it to mold the thermoplastic into your wrist, then hold your wrist still for 10 minutes while the thermoplastic hardens. Then connect the middle strap to tighten it around your wrist. At this point you have a custom wrist brace made to order for YOUR wrist. My question is, is it really better than a standard bracelet that you attach your belt to? I do not know. The process worked well in my testing, and I now have a wrist splint for my right wrist to reduce pain from using the mouse for too long. It seems supportive enough, but I can't say it feels any better than my regular, which is garden drugstore. The instructions don't say so, but the product page says it can be reheated up to 5 times to shape it. . I don't know if that means it can be used on a different person or just a repeat that fits the same person or a different wrist. However, this product does what it promises. As I said, this is an interesting technology that is worth trying.
