I've owned a 2431 since 2000 and love it. I have never changed the battery! I'm considering it as it only stays charged for about three days. I have tried other cordless phones and compared to this one. None of them come close to the overall quality of this phone. What I like about it: - Fantastic coverage: I can walk down the street and still have great reception where other cordless phones typically fail. - Ergonomics: easy to hold, very light, just the right size, buttons easy to find and press, etc. - Display is very legible and backlit - Ease of use: options are intuitive and quick to access. It's easy to find the previous call and call it immediately. It also gives you the option to dial an area code, 1+, etc. - The hands-free function of the phone is good. - The speakerphone is highly responsive and low-noise. - Appearance: Still very modern, clean and professional. - The battery lasts a long time! Seven years so far! Dislikes: - Dialing response time. There is a very slight delay when you press the numbers (maybe a third of a second). It's slower than some of the newer models, but that's okay.
