Very soft polyester material and relatively thin, so if you wear them in a mixed company, you shouldn't become a commando. I thought it was cotton but no. The front fly is artificial; the buttonhole will not be cut and you will need to open the button with a cutter if you want the button to be visible. However, as cheap sleep shorts and training shorts, they are very good and I am so satisfied that I will buy them again.
