Review on Cozy and Realistic: Discover the Kurt Adler 7-Light Flicker Flame Candle Light Set by Danielle Nosbush

Bad clips but great lights

We only ordered one set of these bulbs before the Christmas season as our old (non flickering but still GE candle holders) finally died after only a few years of use . Based on other reviews I was hesitant to order more than one set as I wanted to make sure they really are as bad as most reviews say. One thing is for sure, the clips that hold each rosette to the branches of the tree are very poorly made/designed and far from strong even with very careful handling. I only had to use the alternate mounting method on one of the outlets, but that shouldn't have been necessary. Other than that, and contrary to some other reviewers, our suite was fine. The bulbs have been burning and burning since the tree came up before the solstice and are still burning well. (And yes, the Christmas tree is lit all season long, except, of course, when we stay indoors.) Being Celtic and Germanic traditions, ancient traditions have always been a staple of our family celebrations of Winter Solstice/Christmas. /Christmas/New Year, and the realism that the flickering eagle lights add to the tree, especially in the low light, is just wonderful. You can really get a feel for the Christmas season from the old days when there were only real candles, but in a much safer way. Despite the cheaply made clips I will definitely be ordering at least two more sets as there are only seven in the set and I would like to have the flicker more often next time. Hopefully the manufacturers of these devices will see the feedback and take steps to fix the bad clips. It's a shame that something so beautiful, which so impressively underlines the holiday atmosphere, is overshadowed by simple accessories. As for the price, I think it's quite reasonable.
