Maybe you have too many extension cords?
I'm pretty sure you can't with all those power adapters and weird plugs that fit horizontally or vertically. Those sockets are conveniently located, the cord is long enough, and has surge protection (also a couple of USB ports, which is a nice addition). I spread it out so it sits right next to my desk for anything that needs an outlet.
