I bought these hoping my Detolf would look as nice as all those pictures of people flexing their displays; However, the connectors are only a foot long, while the Detolph shelf is about 16 inches long, which causes some serious problems if you want a nice horizontal stripe on the front of the Detolf view (which I did). I think it might work if you placed them vertically, but that would either make the lighting and aesthetics look very uneven, or you could space them evenly along each shelf, which would be fine, but you'd have to buy more than one set them to attach them to both sides. I ended up using it on a black bookcase I have, if you think very carefully about placement (length of strips, length of connectors) it can look really pretty!
