Review on Pilot Automotive MI 004 Night Mirror by Ardy Espinoza

Probably "fur" for the money. It's cheap in price and cheap in build quality so I don't know what I was really expecting. My goal was to mount the DVR with this as my factory mirror is already 12" wide and I need to move the DVR to clear the camera. Unfortunately that wasn't a solution. As I sat in the driveway I thought that was great! But even at 40 km/h the thing wobbles so much that it's disgusting to look at. The ball and seat aren't exactly a problem. and decent quality. Tongue is firmly connected. The main reason is that the ball part, which is part of the mirror's back plate, is made of flimsy plastic and will bend like crazy with the slightest vibration or movement of the car. I even tried reinforcing it with worm drive clamps (hose clamps) and it wasn't enough to fix it. No amount of rigging will make this thing last. If only a tiny little mirror is used in its current form, it might just be tolerable, but I doubt it.
