Decided to try the Feliway diffuser on the advice of the vet. I've used the spray with some results. I read all the reviews and like many others I was afraid to use it. But I was crazy with my howling cat. My sweet kitty has kidney disease and wants to be by my side all the time. I wake up at 4am and have been severely sleep deprived for several months. Locking her up in another part of the house would only increase the howling. I hooked up a diffuser and left it in my office where she sleeps most of the day. I was at home so I cycled the diffuser to make sure it wasn't overheating. I didn't hear a sound from her until she came to feed in the afternoon. I was amazed. I took off the device before seeing how she would act without it. Don't cry at night! Quiet morning - she was sitting by her food bowl just waiting for the food. I was shocked! Now on the second day without a diffuser, she is quiet all day and came to play with me. I'm still in shock! I just plugged it back in and will leave it on until I go to bed just as a backup. I know it's unusual, but it worked! Just unplug your device when you're not at home and when you go to bed so you don't have to worry about your device overheating. Check it out from time to time. Mine works well and just stays at a comfortable, warm temperature. Leaving it on 24/7 can get hot.
