This is one of the most useful outdoor hockey products; I'm more comfortable with higher quality poles outdoors. The extra weight on the stick isn't very noticeable after some practice, but can be a factor after 2-3 hours (I don't think the average player plays that long). I have 2 WrapArounds Black Ice, one of which has lasted over 3 months on tarmac and could last 3 more. Used more than 5 hours per week. I can say firsthand that it's perfect for the True Hockey TC3, Warrior-Yakupov, and Bauer-Kane88. However, curves with a small toe are more difficult to tape, for example Bauer-Toews14I tape from heel to toe to cover the entire blade (some guys go minimalist). Highly recommended
