Works but not without creativity. I had to reroute some vacuum lines and add a small piece of hose to the fuel inlet as the OEM carburetor inlet was a larger diameter, but it was all easier than changing the throttle cable. No wonder the free cable came with the carburetor. The OEM cable will not work with a new carburetor. Not only is changing the cable a hassle, but the cable that came with it was 2 inches longer. I cut 2 inch metal tubing from the old throttle cable and installed it just before I routed the cable through the cap that screws onto the carburetor. It works. I don't know if the extra work is more or less than the cost of the original carb, just saying it's not a direct carb replacement.
