Review on Plantronics Voyager 4200 UC Series Wireless Bluetooth Headset - Model PLNVOY4220 by Bill Russett

I'm a big Plantronics fan. Maybe I just got lucky and bought the right equipment at the right time - or maybe Plantronics products are just good. The Plantronics Voyager 4220 UC headset is excellent. I'm a heavy user as I'm on conference calls all day - 8+ hours, 5 days a week. My clients use various video conferencing tools (Google Meets, WebEx, GoToMeeting, Zoom, BlueJeans, etc.). I am connecting audio through this headset connected to my iPhone. It was very stable and other visitors have confirmed that my sound quality is excellent. Unlike over-ear headphones, this model really presses on my ear. After a few hours I really have to take the headset off and work my ears for a while before moving on to the next call. I don't blame Plantronics for this as I willingly bought this headset knowing it was an on-ear model. I wanted a lighter style with better ability to hear background noise. Over-ear headsets can offer Cadillac-like comfort, but at times I felt too isolated from the world outside of my call. I have the Plantronics and Alexa apps installed on my iPhone which add more functionality. Opening both apps is a little annoying, but I got used to it and added it to my morning routine before moving on to calls. It's not intended as a music headset, but I listened to music with it and the quality was acceptable. Hold your high quality music headset; You'll appreciate the full tonal range and comfort.
