These towels are initially very soft. They have a little elastic in the back to hold the end of the towel which is very nice. I have relatively long hair and very thick hair and it fits in. It's very easy and much more convenient than twisting a towel on your head. This product is perfect for girls in dorm rooms, shared bathrooms, dorm rooms, etc. It allows you to go from the bathroom to your room and pull your head or pull water from your hair without adding any weight. The only reason I didn't give this product five stars is that the softness wears off very quickly, faster than regular towels.
