I've worn padded compression shorts and they have the heaviest padding. Small note: I ordered a medium and probably should have made a large (I have a size 34/36 pant) but I managed to fit into these. Here are a few things to consider. QUALITY: These shorts looked and felt like they were made from a great material. I have a feeling they might fail. I assume they will last a long time. Basketball Only: Let me explain. I think they should only be used for basketball or other sports (as stated in the description). I use them for basketball and tried them once for a perfect frisbee. I was thinking of using them when I need to dive for a frisbee. There was an error. The huge padding is ideal for basketball, as most of the time you can fall after a jump jump. I often dive at full speed on the Ultimate Frisbee and more fill can do more damage, yes! From now on I will only use them for basketball. Padding: You definitely have enough padding. I was fooled several times into thinking I had a phone in my pocket. He's definitely doing his job. Although I ordered a smaller size, I hardly notice it while playing. I think the right size would be great too. I would recommend them for their quality. Under Armor knows what they're doing.
