BUILDING Error fits computer headsets

I have been using this brand and model of headsets for years. I use it for gaming and also for Skype. It is light, comfortable and can easily be worn for several hours. It sounds good too and the mic gives crystal clear sound to everyone I call. I get about 2 years use from the kit BUT that time should be longer. The reason for this is a design flaw that destroyed every pair I've had. And I would like to mention that I do not handle the device roughly, modify it or handle it in any way. The disadvantage lies in the quality of the materials used during assembly. From the USB plug to the built-in control box, the device is a nice thick cable. It is strong, durable and remains very flexible. From the built-in control box to the headset, however, the cable is about the thickness of a pencil lead and within a few months it's becoming increasingly brittle, breaking either where it exits the control panel or, less likely, where it connects to the headset. . This destroys the headset and it goes in the trash. I decided to buy a couple of extra headsets because, of course, they break at the worst possible moment. If Logitech had simply used a heavier cable throughout the assembly, the problem of brittleness and breakage would have been solved, and lifespan would have doubled. Product. Naturally, the longer a product's lifespan, the fewer units it will sell, so I don't think Logitech is going to rush this issue. Other than that, I really like this headset. If I didn't, I wouldn't put up with a weak cable and still continue to buy the product. Replacing the kit every few years isn't too bad either. But it would be better if it took twice as long.
