Terrible chemical/burnt smell which is intermittent and hasn't gone away after 18 days of continuous use. I am incredibly disappointed to see that these reviews turned out to be true. Did I get a bad batch? I don't want to risk a replacement, defective products usually come on pallets. No thanks, no Honeywell, you can't fix that. I also don't pay shipping cost to send it to your factory for a replacement. To be honest my asthma got worse, it was supposed to help with the smokers in and around my apartment complex, unfortunately it had the opposite effect of some kind of chemical spill burning. Even my downstairs neighbor smelled it. HORRIBLE! It took me 18 days to find out it was the cleaner. Sad. I've spent a lot of time learning about gadgets and it's just a terrible disappointment. This item will cost a fortune to ship back to Honeywell to honor the 5 year warranty against defects, by the way, that warranty is void. Doesn't cover damage from regular use, what kind of warranty is that? No wonder 5 years only factory wedding, don't be fooled. Especially when you're left with a $50 mailer.
