For less than ten dollars this is a good external case to buy. It's not aluminum, it's plastic. The blue side looks like metal and has a smooth finish that mimics metal. The opposite side is all black and has a more conventional plastic appearance. The supplied USB 3.0 cable is about 1 m long and quite thick. There is a blue activity indicator that flashes pink when the drive is active. Installing the drive is very easy by removing the case cover (located on the black side of the case). Be careful as there are three tabs that you can accidentally break off when trying to remove the cover. My kit included an extra piece of foam that could be glued to the inside of the black case cover. There's already one, but it's thinner than the extra one. Not sure if this is an extra to add if needed or if it's a replacement. The instructions do not indicate that there should be an extra piece of foam. Overall, I'd recommend it if you're on a budget and need a 2.5" SATA enclosure for short-term use. Pros: 1) No tools. 2) USB 3.0 drive. 3) SATA 6G. 4) Me likes the blue color Cons: 1) not aluminum but plastic 2) case cover is difficult to remove.
