This can't be a real washcloth. I could be wrong, but I highly doubt it. They look and feel like some sort of synthetic material. Extremely rough and painful to use. You can soak them all day and they won't go soft. They are very big; too big to hold and use. The fibers pierce, scratch and burn the skin like sandpaper. Very bad experience. The loofah I have ever used has always been much softer than this material and will absorb water and soap for a purely relaxing effect; but not these things. I have never seen a washcloth that was flat as a pancake (in the package) and expanded as advertised when wet. I know that after getting wet the washcloth will still soften but not stretch, especially 3 times bigger lol. I'm an artist, have worked with pumpkins for many years and have never come across a washcloth like this, no matter where it came from. A loofah gourd is a loofah gourd apart from the size and thickness of its skin, depending on the region. They appear to be made of artificial material, each the same size and shape, including the center, more like machine-made products than natural plants. I wouldn't offer them to anyone, not even an unwelcome guest. They end up in the trash! I will not order these again. On Tuesday morning I bought some good washcloths at a much lower price. I do not recommend this product.
