I have bought several original Vom sonic toothbrushes and was disappointed when I finally ran out and had to purchase a cordless model. There are several reasons why this toothbrush disappoints: 1) It is not as durable as the original sonic toothbrush. The vibrations are so weak that an electrical component is hardly worth it. 2) The charging port of this toothbrush is difficult to open. This could be made much more user friendly. 3) The battery life of the original model was great and lasted for a long trip. The battery in the paid model is less reliable. 4) The silver model scratched on first use while other plastic toothbrushes were hard and never scratched. Although this model is lighter, that seems to be the only improvement. I don't need a beep to tell me when to move on to the next row of teeth, so I don't find the timer useful at all. I will be looking for a new travel toothbrush that has a little more power.
