This product is exactly as described; Adheres very well to the dashboard and the lever keeps its shape, which is easy to adjust. I used a different mount that placed the phone directly on the dashboard. But it turned out that with the scorching sun through the windshield, the phone was severely overheated. With this cell phone holder I can position my cell phone directly in front of the climate vent, approximately near the 2 o'clock position on the steering wheel. This puts the phone in a comfortable position to view the Maps app without taking your eyes too far off the road, while also keeping the phone at operating temperature. I used it on a trip from North Carolina to Hilton Head, South Carolina. The average outside temperature was about 87 F, there was no overheating. I wholeheartedly recommend this phone holder.
