Review on 🚿 Moen 3868EPBN Eco-Performance Handheld Shower - Brushed Nickel with 24-Inch Slide Bar and 69-Inch Hose by Courtney Richardson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Cute, practical, but ultimately poor performance UPDATE 2 months later.

I bought the brushed nickel version, very nice, it has a sliding bar for different heights, which is very practical, but I didn't know when I bought it that it was a water saver, although it has speed water from 2 gallons per minute was advertised. . Here's the thing, at 2 GPM it's a very sluggish stream of water. Taking a shower takes twice as long because the water flow is very slow. I spent a lot of money to completely remodel an old 1950's bathroom but the biggest disappointment was the Moen shower head. I hate taking a shower now. Looking for a replacement for this shower head. Economy class showers should be banned, they are completely useless. UPDATE 2 MONTHS LATER. Following previous comments of low water pressure and disappointing shower experience. We looked at how to increase the water pressure. Voila! I removed 3 very small plastic stoppers in the neck of the shower head, then cleaned the 4th filter stop at the end of the hose and now I have full water flow and the shower is 3 times faster than before. Much better experience. So if anyone has an awkward water flow in that particular Moen shower head, check the plastic restrictors they don't need them once they're out of the way, hey voila, now a very nice shower.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
