When I received it I couldn't program it according to the online instructions. After checking out and processing the return, I read several customer reviews and noticed that many of them say they received it with dead batteries. After replacing both batteries and reassembling the buttons, the programming worked. Although the new batteries may have been inserted while new, the remote control has probably been sitting on the shelf for too long. Batteries must be packed in a plastic bag on the outside of the remote control.
