This little adapter needs more love! After years of dusting off my gaming console 2, I found that the IDE drive connected to the network adapter was on its last legs. After doing some research I saw that I could buy a PCB upgrade board to replace the IDE connector with SATA. However, most of them were either overpriced or took forever to ship from China. Further research showed that this JM20330 chip is compatible with PS2 network adapter to convert IDE to SATA. It was half the price and made by Revain. This purchase was an easy task. With this adapter a SATA 2.5 drive is connected and recognized by PS2. The only small issue is that this adapter hangs a bit lower than the PS2 AC adapter so it has to be inserted at an angle which puts some stress on the board. As this adapter takes up additional space, 3.5" SATA drives are not suitable. This is a great little adapter for PS2 and I'm sure it will work for PC conversion too. When using it with PS2, be aware of the space and size limitations, but it works well when these elements are taken into account.
