My daughter is an average sized 10 month year old and can fit in the size 12-18, but it's big on her. Therefore, this does run true to size. The shorts are super cute and are a nice silky feel. The outfit cam as described. The bow that comes with this outfit fits her head well. There is a cute belt around the shorts that is a nice touch to the outfit too. This would make an adorable baby shower gift or baby gift.
