Our relatively new king-size mattress from a well-known brand became very uncomfortable as it pinched pressure points on our shoulders and hips. Our sleep was disturbed all night by the uncomfortable mattress. I chose this topper after a few days of research because I couldn't take the mattress and the pain anymore! Bought a 3" Royal Topper. On arrival we opened the bag on the bed, unrolled it and it opened to the right size almost immediately. We just let it sit like that for a few hours damn. Oh!. And. there is NO smell!We were expecting a smell because of the material it is made of but I tell you there is NO smell!We slept on it exactly 10 nights and it is very comfortable.The pressure on the shoulders and hips is almost gone. I was hoping for it but didn't have high hopes. It turned out to have exceeded my expectations for comfort and relief from pressure points on the hips and shoulders.
