All the negatives apply only when compared to commercial coffee makers. Compared to another product of the same firm, the largely automated fairy story known as Distinta ECI 341, DD Hired Experts: 1) Cappuccino turns out wonderful, especially if you take the time to: o - learn how to correctly beat milk in a pitcher, not according to the connected instructions, but rather, say, according to training videos from a barista, if you don't know how. If you're using a pressure- or manually-operated coffee grinder like mine, rather than a professional-grade grinder that provides a consistent grind, you may need to make some adjustments to get the right consistency for flavor, cream, and, in general, 15 bar of pressure to break through a tablet. You may do other things, like filling the pitcher with milk and ice water, while the espresso is being poured evenly because the water supply is constant. The negatives: 1) Oh. Obviously a cappuccino maker. I mean, I guess there isn't much else out there that would be better for my niche, but I wasn't aware of the consequences when I signed up. It was unexpected that rinsing the foldable cappuccinatore was not sufficient maintenance, given that it was not specified what to blow and wipe. The cappuccinatore is made up of two pieces; the iron cylinder and the plastic frame that holds it together are attached to the rubber base. There is a space in the first section where the iron cylinder meets the plastic. All of the Delonga coffee makers that use this particular style of cappuccinatore have this feature. Milk seeps in there, and if you don't carefully wash it where the plastic meets the iron, it will dry out deep inside, and even if you crack, you won't be able to clean it off with a needle or a toothbrush. If you're paying attention, you'll notice this nuance. 2) Filter components that can be removed as needed. The design does not permit you to manufacture an ideal uniform coffee tablet, like in professional machines, and ground coffee can get into the hole from which the final espresso flows if you are not careful. For him, though, the price range is everything. What at first seemed like a benefit turned out to be less than ideal for me: the compact size was achieved by eliminating storage space for extra filters and a tempera/measuring spoon. 4) There is barely any usable hot water. The water is not spewed out in one continuous stream, but rather in a succession of brief spurts, resulting in a million separate splashes of boiling water in every direction:
