Nice little desk radio with its pros and cons

When you take the TR605 out of the box, the first thing that catches your eye is the cute little radio. It feels solid and the tuning knob is well placed and feels firm. The TR605's tuning knob isn't illuminated, but it's large and easy to read. It would have been better if the tuning knob had been calibrated a bit more precisely, but by tuning in slowly and carefully you should be able to find your favorite stations without too much trouble. The tuning LED makes tuning this radio much easier. The good news is that your station will sound loud and clear once you tune it in. The sound coming out of the speaker is rich and pleasant, and you can turn up the volume before hearing distortion. Since this radio is designed as a table radio, I am a little disappointed with the unstable stability of the radio. In that regard, the TR605 would benefit greatly from the addition of a kickstand. A nice feature of this radio is its bright built-in flashlight, which can come in handy when the lights go out. The TR605 is powered by the included battery. This is a good plus if you don't want to waste money disposing of batteries for electronic devices. Overall this is a nice sounding little radio that could be improved with LED lighting and a stand for more stability.
