*Beware of other products that may contain counterfeit blades. They are legal at the moment * I have been using Wilkinson Swords for many years since I started Double Edge ten years ago. I tried them and WS in a test package. I can't really remember how I felt about these particular ones, plus they may be less condescending/more aggressive and I was a beginner. WS has been great for a long time, but my dollar razor blades that I use on the go give me a better shave than my safety razor. That is not right. After that disappointment I managed to find my old collection of blade patterns and try them out first. Wow. Doesn't matter. These Astra blades easily cut through old stubble. They are very sharp. And now that I know what I'm doing, their willingness to cut effectively actually seems to have reduced theft dramatically. However, I will say if you have pimples or anything like that, be careful with them. My swords would just go over that stuff. Those asters. Not. Like I said, they're hot. I used my old new Astra blade last week and loved it. I then let my stubble grow back for a few days before trying this new pack. I am happy to say that they are still great. So if you are a beginner I would suggest trying Wilkinson Swords as they are much easier to learn and do a pretty good job if you really do shave every day. But after you gain experience, the Astra is a great move. Especially if, like me, you prefer to take breaks of several days.
