This algae scraper works wonders! The magnets on this thing are almost too strong for me, which is perfect for when the two pieces disconnect from the tank wall. The inner half floats, so I can guide it to where I want them to reconnect AND I can remove it from the tank easily instead of having to dive for a sunken piece. My tank was COATED in algae, so getting through the tough spots took some arm strength and elbow grease, but that was expected and I couldn't have done nearly as good of a job otherwise. This scraper is also easy enough to control that I can maneuver it right around all of the snails posted up around the tank. Fantastic product; I can't rave about it enough!
