Review on LENTION Multi Port Charging Compatible Thunderbolt Computer Accessories & Peripherals by Branden Type

I'm so disappointed. I really wanted this device to work, which it did in two weeks. Then my external USB 3.0 drives do not work properly and often show read errors. When I switched back to my "cheap" USB-C port extender plugged into my MacBook, my drives started working properly again. The only reason I give 1 star is because I love the design. Luckily I have a return policy. UPDATE (12/02/19): I'm now wondering if the problem could be a faulty USB-C extension cable; However, I sent the device back and cannot test it again without the suspect cable. Lention was kind enough to send a replacement hub. Unfortunately this was a different design with only 2 USB-A ports compared to the original with 4 USB-A ports, which is what I really wanted and the reason I originally bought this one design. Also, the USB-C input is on the opposite side of the USB-A ports, while the original hub had the USB-C input on the opposite end of the USB-C port for connecting to the computer, right there, where i wanted it to be. Lention, could you please provide me with the design I originally purchased so I can re-test its functionality.
