I hesitated because of the reviews but this was the right width, color, and style for my room and budget (though honestly I'd have spent a little more if I could have found something in this shade and style at a higher quality, but most options are rustic industrial farmhouse warehouse postmodern or something it seems). I wanted a drawer and a little shelf (the cube storage bin in the finished photo is one I bought separately. This is working out great, though I wish it were taller (beds/mattresses are generally so high these days that nightstands need to be higher but it'll do).Because people mentioned difficulty assembling, I was prepared to send it back, but really wanted to make these work so I planned to spend plenty of time and I read the instructions very carefully. They really are printed too small but I was able to manage, and I can see where this would be difficult to assemble if a person weren't already used to assembling furniture like this. I'm not at all handy but fortunately I am used to putting together furniture that's been ordered online so I didn't have any trouble with getting the assembly right -- but only because I took my time and was very careful with the instructions.I took particular care with the roller things for the drawer, and the drawers work perfectly. The bottom of the drawer reminds me of the backing you'll often get for bookshelves, which isn't solid wood but again is perfectly fine for a bedside drawer of this sort.Despite being so careful, each of the nightstands were ever so slightly wobbly. Not so off that a piece of cardboard would help balance, but on a wood or laminate floor you'd notice so I put a Band-Aid down under one of the back legs and that was the exact right height.Long story short, these look nice, they are just what I needed, but no, at this price point you're not going to get super-sturdy high quality furniture. But I'm very happy with them. You'll want to allow plenty of time to assemble them, and be careful not to screw in the screw bolt things (A) that are in the third picture too strongly, especially when they are close to the edge on one piece (doesn't show from the outside but I wish I hadn't done that). The instructions tell you not to screw them in too deep but to make sure you screw them enough, so if I'd stopped one screw-movement short it would have been just right.
