I don't know why so many people are negative about them as my experience was great! When I received them, I looked at them first to see if they met with resistance or not. 8 out of 10 were great so I installed the five I needed to get my five sponge filters working. I did them one at a time and didn't do the next one until the first one was fully functional. What I noticed is that they almost had to fill up. For example, he put the valve in, turned the air back on, nothing happened, and then slowly bubbles started coming out, and it grew, grew, and grew until it started expelling air at the same rate as without the valve. Overall, it took a good 10-15 minutes for the air bubble flow to return to normal. And one of the valves was removed overnight. When I was done with this one it seemed to be running at about 50% and in the morning it worked just as well as it did without the valve. Maybe people just don't wait long enough to "refuel" fully? I'm not sure but I would recommend them to anyone. I also think they are well done and since you get 10 for $5 it doesn't matter if there is one marriage or two! I hope this review helps clear up some things!
