I've never used another device that uses an S Pen, but I suspect it's an official replacement for another Tab model (I'm using a Tab S7+). In terms of battery life, connectivity, Air Actions and 9ms latency; everything is the same as the original that came with my Tab S7+. The only difference is a small code next to the Samsung logo, which can be seen in the photo. ("*************** China") Also, it's significantly lighter than the original when taken out of the box, which may be plus or minus depending on the user's preferences. Finally, the magnet in the grip that attaches it to the tablet's charger is definitely weaker - just enough to be a bit finicky about attaching it, but not so much that it falls off or doesn't attach at all, as far as I know (and according to Samsung- support service), the nib of the Tab S7+ S Pen should last forever and therefore cannot be removed or replaced, but this pen comes with spare nibs and a removal tool in the box, which leads me to believe it might be from another tab. 4 stars overall for small differences, but after months of searching and talking to Samsung, this is the closest thing to the original.
