In the last two years we have replaced several coffee pots. Either they couldn't keep the contents warm, or they leaked, or the lid broke. We were happy with this carafe. One of the best things about it is the fact that the top unscrews easily. With others, it was often difficult to close the lid properly and required a lot of effort. Luckily the carafe keeps the contents hot for a good 12 hours, not warm, so that's a big plus. The design is attractive and the handle is particularly well designed to hold comfortably.
