I needed quality wireless headphones with active noise cancellation and battery life that can be used in wired mode and work seamlessly on my phone and computer. This product seems to offer all that and more, albeit at a price point to match. I paid a high price because it was exactly what I wanted and it was reasonably priced. But it has two incredibly fundamental flaws. (1) Wired connection does not support microphone. So let's say your old laptop has outdated Bluetooth, but you want to use headphones to talk? Well, that's not an option unless you're speaking on that call. You also can't take advantage of the lower latency or higher quality of a wired connection if you want to use the microphone for other reasons. But with mistake number 2, the situation gets even worse. (2) You can't use the microphone and the real headphone audio at the same time, only the "headset" audio which sounds like garbage. (Yes, even when used as intended, the conversation tone does not sound very good.) The headphones are therefore completely unsuitable for PC use. Let's say you're talking on Skype/Discord/some communication app and someone shares a YouTube video? Well, you need to switch your browser to stream this sound on the "Headset" channel and not "Headphones" (if possible, your computer may not allow this during a call) and if that succeeds, listen You very distorted sound. Otherwise you need to leave a call to watch the video. It's the same with music. It's the same with games. Apparently this has been a problem since XM3. You need an external microphone for it to even work properly with your PC. But that defeats the purpose of being able to move freely around the workplace and have an uninterrupted conversation with wireless headphones. Also, for the price I paid, I expected to be able to use the mic with my PC. That's absurd. If headphones weren't so expensive, I might be able to forgive these flaws, although they really should have made these two flaws clear in their marketing. But they are extremely expensive and must be of a higher standard. The noise isolation is solid, the audio quality of the headphones is top-notch, the battery lasts all day, the headphone controls work pretty well, but the headphones just don't support basic use cases and the price is unacceptable.
