Review on Sony D 802K Discman Portable Player by Darryl Blumenthal

I find it surprising that nowhere on the internet is there anything critical about this otherwise competent and good looking CD player: IT DOES NOT SUPPORT CD-R OR RECORDABLE CD. THIS WILL ONLY PLAY CD PURCHASED IN CITIES. If I had known this I would never have bought it and for me it is a real problem when a seller does not know and/or share this information. If you just want to play store-bought CDs then this is a cool little player, but if you want to play recorded copies or shuffle CDs, you're out of luck. and to be clear, I'm not talking about a CD full of MP3s, CDs burned by a computer to a CD that can be played in literally every other player I've tried (including my laserdisc player). Not in the Sony D-802K. Buyer beware.
