Express Esperesso: Stovetop espresso and mocha pots

This espresso machine made me smile with satisfaction. It's easy to use, moderately attractive, takes up little space, and works quickly: runs 4 or 5 minutes max (didn't time it) and reheats my leftover espresso at a decent speed (slower than a microwave, of course, but a few minutes to heat up is great). It is easy to clean and maintain. I love this espresso pot having used it daily for the past two months. The 1 cup adapter works well - I've noticed in other reviews that some people have had issues with this, but maybe that's how I press the filter to drink coffee. getting used to - see my tips below. The auto shut off feature is simple and effective (lift the pot and it shuts itself off) but it does NOT work with a timer so your espresso will continue to heat. While this isn't a problem for a few minutes, it will burn your espresso if it sits there for too long; There will be a residue (which I found easy to scrape off). I didn't write my review because I wasn't looking for a bench with a timer function; The auto shut off function does what it is supposed to do. My only gripe is the top itself - the hinge makes everything feel a little flimsy. If anything is going to happen to this car, it's the hinge, meaning a replacement ship will need to be found. Be careful with that. I would deduct half a star if I could. This can lead to poor performance (packing too tight and coffee that expands when wet). However, if left too thin it will result in a weaker drink than would be optimally achieved. My solution is to fill the espresso filter to the top of the cone (rising over the rim) and then gently tap it on a hard surface to allow it to sit. . It's better to feel a little loose than too tight at first, and you can tweak it little by little. I know this point might not be very useful, but make sure it's not weakened. When tightening or loosening you can easily apply more than enough pressure by placing your fingers in the crevice/intersection of the seam where the spout meets the pot and the handle touches the pot, keep your fingers as close to the pot as possible (Pictures 2, 3, 4) and turn clockwise arrow to tighten by gently pressing on the spout and handle connections. As directed in the instructions, DO NOT use a real handle (under the handle) to loosen or tighten the pot to the tank; Not only is it plastic, it's also hollow, which makes me a little nervous. To be safe, do not remove the pot from the base until the entire device has cooled, although (probably) the silicone ring at the bottom of this particular device's tank remains cool enough to be touched immediately after removal from the heater base.

Pros
  • NEVER BURN: Thanks to the automatic shut-off, your espresso will never burn, giving you great taste every time.
Cons
