We hate these things. The reviewer who said some of the pieces were no bigger than a grain of sand was not kidding! They are frighteningly small. Some of the smaller sets were also missing parts. I bought these for my 7 year old who builds LEGOs for much older kids and teens with ease and even he had trouble with the instructions at first. He eventually figured them out and that helped, but the missing pieces were a problem. Once he had made as many of these as possible, he would use the remaining pieces from other sets to replace the missing ones. I would not recommend them for small children.
