It literally smells.
They didn't impress me. The box is really cheap and the instructions are so poorly translated it's actually ridiculous. Again, they're about $10, so whatever. They do the job, but with a small side effect worth noting... the varnish/polish on it leaves my hands smelling for up to an hour after use. Not a big deal to me, but it can really turn some people off.
