The bulbs fit the 2012 Hyundai Elantra trunk light with no problem. The Elantra 2012 hull cover accepts strings ranging in size from 31mm to 36mm with a slight end adjustment using needle nose pliers. Additional 5mm LEDs can add about 100 lumens to a darkened room. The brightness is much brighter than a standard incandescent bulb. 500 lumens? Compared to a 500 lumen flashlight shining through the map/shadow cover, my flashlight is much brighter than incandescent bulbs. I give it around 400 lumens at best, but it's enough to fill the interior with enough white light to see what we're doing at night, compared to incandescent bulbs at 120 lumens or so. Dim lighting compared to what I can see in the corner of the trunk, this is a great upgrade at a good price.
