I wanted to like it. I really did. Unfortunately, the set I received wasn't as pleasant. They tried to make it mostly out of wood and "need no glue," and chose a variety of small wooden pins as fasteners. Because they need to provide a strong connection, the holes need to be small so there is little chance of failure. This means that if you don't line things up correctly, you'll split those pins. I ended up sharing at least 5 out of dozens of them. The support towers and pieces connecting the marble walkway aren't much better. If you apply too much force to the slot in the piece the wood will snap, too little force will cause the pieces to move and the balls to go nowhere. Unfortunately, the golden mean of sufficient strength doesn't seem to exist for some characters. (Yes, that's even after sanding).
