Pay close attention to the illustrations!

Ball size or smaller than pictured! This means that there are two people going up each step. While this doesn't result in a stop, just think that it makes it seem like it's not working properly. Spent about 4 hours straight. Some of the errors I found are due to my not interpreting the charts. The biggest thing was the assembly of the large drive, lifting wheel, parts 23,24 are swapped. Removing it from the finished assembly required a bit of skill. He removed the shaft, lifted it up and…

A bit weak on logic

I wanted to like it. I really did. Unfortunately, the set I received wasn't as pleasant. They tried to make it mostly out of wood and "need no glue," and chose a variety of small wooden pins as fasteners. Because they need to provide a strong connection, the holes need to be small so there is little chance of failure. This means that if you don't line things up correctly, you'll split those pins. Fun to build and play with, kids love it, see instructions

Both my boys love it. After that we bought 2 more different sets. An 11-year-old can assemble almost all of it by himself - he lacked finger strength for a few steps. A 7 year old can do about 30% of the steps on his own and I do the rest while he 'watches' and reviews my work, but he still loves it and is mesmerized by the end results. easy if you pay close attention. Great-grandfather and grandson joint project

My 5-year-old grandson and I put the marble walk together. I gave directions as instructed, he stamped and fitted the pieces together, I made sure the pieces lined up properly, and I created extra muscle for tighter joints. It took us about 6 hours for 4 sessions. We had a lot of fun and he is very happy with the finished product. Intelligent and thoughtful design. It's very nice to have clean laser cut parts. I really enjoyed building this. 3 starts for "ease of assembly " - it shouldn't be too easy!

The instructions are very good. I would recommend taking your time and only stamping the parts needed for each step as you assemble each step. The laser precision with which these details are carved is incredible. It takes some effort to put the pieces together, but do two things when putting things together. Rock it back and forth, don't push too hard to break the piece, and make sure the 2 pieces are FULL together (ok, it's actually 3 things!). really shaky. I almost didn't buy it after…
