Quality product but twice the price of other comparable products with similar characteristics. Good optical design, but not worth the extra cost for me. The product can overhumidify the room, which is not healthy and does not promote the growth of fungi or other bacterial allergens, and does not have a hygrostat function to ensure that the normal humidity level is not exceeded. For that much money, a hygrostat function should have been integrated into the design. All in all not a bad product or design depending on what you are looking for. I was looking for a humidifier for health reasons. I didn't see any significant benefit in paying a lot more for one of the few UV products. Not as quiet as a comparable 2-gallon "Homedics" model, less than half the price of a top-fill model with a programmable humidistat for healthy humidity levels and less bulk and debris. If it lasts it will prove to be a much better option for me.
