The first one had woken up with water all over the floor for 2 years. I figured I hadn't put the tank in the stand too easily which made it crack. I bought a new one, got it from storage last night and woke up to another puddle on the floor this morning. Hold the stand up and tilt it back, water will start to flow from the bottom of the unit. 2. Hack. I have tried many humidifiers. This is one of the best I've personally come across. At first I just dropped one tank, bumped it with my bare foot and broke the lid, so now one of the tanks is leaking. There doesn't seem to be a replacement for this device yet. because ONLY the cover works. One piece of advice I will give you and will try after you order is to use sand tape, gaffer tape or hockey stick grip tape on the inside top where you put your fingers to lift/carry the tank. Quality product but twice the price of other comparable products with similar characteristics. Good optical design, but not worth the extra cost for me. The product can overhumidify the room, which is not healthy and does not promote the growth of fungi or other bacterial allergens, and does not have a hygrostat function to ensure that the normal humidity level is not exceeded. I like the amount of water as I didn't clean the water around the machine, it worked perfectly and I had no problems filling the tank, changing the tank according to the instructions and cleaning and removing the tank there was a small one Piece of plastic which I understand was a very important piece of plastic - it's very small and vertical - it attaches the tank to the base and just broke off :-/. $130 down the drain. 2 Stars - It produces fine mist and holds 2 gallons of water as advertised. However, in my opinion, this device has many shortcomings. #1 - It does NOT produce a warm mist. It has two fog options. Colder and colder. Not warm and not cold. If you want a warm mist then forget it. I was really hoping that the warm fog function would work this time. I have a variety of humidifiers at home, including Vicks (a pretty good one) and Vornado, which I run constantly during the winter months to keep my wooden guitars from drying out and the skin on my face from peeling and blowing away in the wind.
