I was really hoping that the warm fog function would work this time. I have a variety of humidifiers at home, including Vicks (a pretty good one) and Vornado, which I run constantly during the winter months to keep my wooden guitars from drying out and the skin on my face from peeling and blowing away in the wind. Either way, the warm mist doesn't seem to work, which is a real shame. I read non-Vine reviews to see if it works (the base should feel warm to the touch, but I don't think it does). I also put a thermometer right by the outlet and at best it read just under 70F which was a few degrees below room temperature @ 72F. In theory, the device could actually cool the room. Heat aside, the rest of the device is excellent in that it has a large tank that slows down the refill rate. I had this unit for about 10 hours and at full power the water level dropped about 1/5th. However, 100 hours at full power seems like a pretty long run, but I'm hoping it lasts at least 50 hours, which is a massive improvement over my much cheaper Vicks, which runs at max power for about 15 hours. the settings. The degreasing tray is a handy feature. The device itself is relatively attractive compared to others on the market. To update. The rest of the night has passed and now the tank is on line 1/4. This means that at full power I used 3/4 tank of non-warm mist in about 21 hours. I don't think it will last up to 30 hours. I also compared the unit to a 1 gallon ($35) Vicks unit that hit a not-so-cool 130F and now I'm a lot more disappointed.
