I confess that I read the reviews before purchasing this item and there were good reviews and bad reviews and I made my decision , to order. I very much regret this purchase and would have sent it back immediately if it hadn't cost so much. I've used it maybe 20 times and from the start I had problems with the cassette doors not opening. I had a Mega Star for almost 25 years but both cassette players didn't work properly so I decided to give up and finally buy a new one but couldn't find another Mega Star. I took Revain and read the reviews, some very bad, some good. I'm interested in dubbing old tapes onto new tapes and then burning a CD. These are my own recordings that have been included in our hymns since 1957. I have a bedroom that I turned into my music room. NOW I have received your machine but due to illness I have not used it for about a week. Finally I could use it and I'm sorry to say I really don't like it. The audio is blurry. The volume button has a lot of noise when rotated. The recording page is now not recording and the Open button is stuck and won't open. The right side is very slow in FF or rewind. If I can sing along with the background music, the volume switches to the microphone you're singing into. I tried another microphone and it's the same. Overall I'm afraid I'm spending over $300 and nothing but SS, it's a big purchase and I almost still don't have a good working product. I guess I'm used to a better car and these are great little gadgets that I use all the time. For example, a change in voice and tone. I'll keep it, the return will be too expensive, but for the moment I'm a very disappointed customer. I'm 73 years old and I still sing in church. I do my own backing vocals ie sing tenor and alto but sing solo when I sing and now I can't do that or pretty much. Thank you for listening to my complaints.
